This sun-filled island south of Oakland packs dozens of family-owned restaurants into six square miles of land. During its third annual Restaurant Week (Jan. 16–26), more than 40 participating eateries such as German specialist Speisekammer and Italian favorite Tomatina will offer dining deals, ranging from prix fixe menus to a free dessert or cocktail. Local bartenders will also compete for the title of Alameda’s Master Mixologist. Grab a stamp card and make multiple stops to be entered to win raffle prizes. Some lucky diners who get their raffle card stamped at six locations will win restaurant gift cards, providing the perfect excuse to come back for more.
